Ameliyat Sonrası Tsh Yüksekliği
Tiroidektonomi tiroid bezinin bir kısmının ya da tamamının alınmasıdır. Bu ameliyat iyi huylu tiroid hastalıkları nedeniyle ya da kötü huylu tiroid tümörleriyle alakalı olarak yapılmaktadır.
Ameliyat geçiren hastaların tamamı yaşamları boyunca gözetim altında tutulmalıdır. Uzun vadede ilaç kullanmak zorundadır. Hastaların büyük çoğunluğunu kadınlar özellikle doğurganlık çağındaki kadınlar oluşturmaktadır.
Tiroidektonomi sonrasında düzenli yaşam ve düzenli beslenmeyle hayatını düzene sokan kadınlarda hormon seviyelerinin kontrol altında tutulduğu durumlarda hamileliğe izin verilmektedir. Çocuk bu durumdan zarar görmemektedir.
Ancak bazı durumlarda ameliyat sonrası Tsh yüksekliği gözlenebilmektedir. Tsh tiroid stimüle edici hormon olarak bilinmektedir. Ön hipofiz bezinden salgılanır ve tiroid bezini uyararak T3 ve T4 salgılanmasını sağlar. Tsh ve T3, T4 hormonları antaogonist olarak çalışır. Yani ameliyat sonrası Tsh yüksekliği T3 ve T4 düşüklüğü anlamına gelmektedir.
Bu durumda hasta tiroid üretimini yapamaz. Dışarıdan destek almak zorundadır. Bazı olgularda tiroid kontrolünü sağlamak amacıyla yaşam boyu ilaç kullanılmaktadır.
Tiroid bezinin tamamının alınmadığı iyi huylu tiroid hastalıklarından kaynaklı yapılan ameliyatlarda kısmen ilaç kullanımı gerekli olabilir. Belli bir süre ilaç kullanımı ile Tsh değerinin normal sınırlara inmesi sağlanabilir. Ayrıca bazı besinler de Tsh değerinde azalmaya sebep olabilir. Ameliyat sonrasında yükselen Tsh değerinin azalması için kullanılabilir.

Tsh Yüksekliği tiroid bezinin az çalıştığının göstergesidir. Bu durumda yeterli miktarda T3 ve T4 hormonları üretilemez. Tsh yüksekliğinde;
