Papatya Nasıl Saklanır?
Papatyagiller ailesine ait olan birçok tür bulunmaktadır ve türlerin hepsine verilen genel ad papatyadır. En çok bilinen türü ise matricaria türüdür. Papatyalar bahar aylarında çiçek açmaya başlar ve 25 cm’ye kadar boyları uzar. Papatyalar türlerine göre farklı renklerden oluşmaktadır. En yaygın renkleri ise başta beyaz olmak üzere sarı, turuncu, kırmızı ve pembedir. Bu bitkiler tek yıllık bitkiler arasında yer almaktadır ve insan sağlığı açısından da oldukça etkili faydaları bulunmaktadır.
Ancak papatya yıl içinde sadece bahar aylarının başlarında çiçek açtığı için tüketimi için doğru koşullarda saklanması gerekir. Papatyayı canlı olarak uzun süre muhafaza etmek mümkün olmadığı için papatyayı saklayabilmek için uygulanabilecek tek yöntem kurutma yöntemidir. Ancak papatya kurutma işlemini uygularken uygulanması gereken aşamalar bulunmaktadır ve bazı noktalara dikkat etmek gerekir. Bu noktalara dikkat edilmemesi durumunda papatyanın yapısında bazı bozulmalar meydana gelir.
Papatya Nasıl Saklanır?
1-)Papatyaların Toplanması
Papatyaları saklamak için uygulanabilecek tek yöntem olan kurutma yöntemi için ilk olarak dikkat edilmesi gereken nokta papatyaların toplanmasıdır. Bu aşamada papatyaları bütün olarak ve zarar vermeden toplamak gerekir. Papatyaların bütün olarak toplanması yapısal özelliklerini korumasına adına önem taşımaktadır. Papatyalar bahar aylarının gelmesi ile çiçek açmaya başlasa da ağustos ayına kadar bu süreç devam eder. Kurutma işlemi için papatyaların temmuz ağustos aylarında toplanmasında fayda vardır.
2-)Papatyaların Yıkanma Aşaması
Özenle toplamış olduğunuz papatyaları özellikle çay olarak tüketmeyi düşünüyorsanız kurutmadan önce mutlaka yıkamanız gerekir. Bu işlemi az miktarda sirke ve bolca su ile hazırladığınız bir karışım ile yapabilirsiniz. Hazırlamış olduğunuz karışımın içine papatyaları koyarak papatyalara zarar vermeden yavaşça papatyaları karıştırın ve bir süre bu karşımın içinde bekletin. Daha sonra sadece su ile bu işlemi tekrarlayarak iyice temizlenmesini sağlayın.
3-)Kurutma Aşaması
Papatyaları kurutmak için nemsiz ve kuru bir ortam hazırlamanız gerekir. Bu koşulların sağlandığı ortama papatyaları doğrudan güneş altına serin. Serme işleminde dikkat etmeniz gereken nokta ise papatyaların birbirine değmemesidir. Birbirine değen papatyalar birbirlerine birleşik olarak kururlar ve üst üste gelen papatyaların kalınlığının fazla olması durumunda da papatyaların iç kısımlarında küflenmelere ve yapılarının bozulmalarına neden olacak kızışmalar meydana gelir.
4-)Saklanma Aşaması
Kurutmuş olduğunuz papatyaları yıl boyunca saklamanız mümkündür. Bu işlemi kuru papatyaları cam bir kavanoza kaldırarak ve kapaklarını sıkıca kapatarak gerçekleştirebilirsiniz.
NOT: Papatyaların toz olmaması için üzerine tülbent örtebilirsiniz. Ancak bu işlem papatyaların daha geç kurumasına neden olacaktır.
