Bu yöntemi uygulamak için ilk yapılması gereken işlem ise gelişimini tamamlamasının ardından mevsiminde toplanmış olan ısırgan otlarının akan su altında dikkatle yıkanmasıdır. Bu işlemi uygularken mutlaka eldiven giyilmelidir.
Aksi takdirde ısırgan otunu üzerinde bulunan dikenler elinize batabilir. Yıkayarak temizleme işleminin tamamlanmasının ardından ise ısırgan otları kaynamakta olan suyun içerisine atılarak 1-1,5 dakika kadar haşlanmalıdır. Kaynar sudan çıkarılan ısırgan otları ise akan soğuk suyun altında haşlanması süresi kadar bekletilir. Bu işleminde tamamlanmasının ardından sularının süzülmesi için bir süre süzgeçte bekletilir. Suları akmış olan ısırgan otları porsiyonlara ayrılarak buzdolabı poşetlerine yerleştirilir ve derin dondurucuya yerleştirilir.
2-)Petso Sos Yöntemi
Bu yöntemi uygulamak için ısırgan otu kullanarak petso sos yapmak gerekir. Uygulaması oldukça basit ve kolay olan bu yöntem için öncelikli olarak ısırgan otları hazırlanmalıdır. Isırgan otlarını hazırlamak için öncelikle elinize eldiven takarak ısırgan otlarını yıkayın ve ardından da kaynamakta olan suyun içerisine atarak 1 ya da 1,5 dakika kadar haşlayın.
Haşlama işlemi sırasında haşlama suyunun içerisine tuz ekleyin. Böylece ısırgan otları tuzu içine çekerek eşit bir şekilde dağılmış olacaktır. Haşlama işlemi ısırgan otunun dikenlerini ayıklamanızı çok daha kolay bir hale getirecektir. Dikenleri ayıklanarak hazırlanmış olan ısırgan otlarını blendırın içine koyarak üzerine az miktarda zeytinyağı, sarımsak ve limon suyu ekleyin. İsteğe bağlı olarak permesan peyniri ya da süzme peynir de ekleyebilirsiniz. Bu şekilde karışımı hazırladıktan sonra buz kalıplarına koyarak dondurabilirsiniz.
