Böceklenmiş Tarhana Nasıl Temizlenir?
Özellikle yaz aylarında bakliyatların birçoğu gibi toz tarhana da böceklenebilmektedir. Genel olarak böceklenme ya da güvelenme, havasızlık nedeniyle ortaya çıkar. Ancak tek sebep bu değildir. Böceklenmenin ortadan kalkması ya da en aza inebilmesi için kullanılabilecek bir takım yöntemler bulunmaktadır. Bunun için öncelikle saklama koşullarına dikkat edilmelidir.
Kuru Tarhana Nasıl Saklanmalı?
- Elbette Anadolu’da pek çok bölgede evde tarhana yapımı da söz konusudur. Yapımından emin olunan tarhananın kalitesinde sorun yaşanmayacaktır. Ancak satın alınacaksa dikkat edilmesi gereken, tarhananın kaliteli olmasıdır. Tarhananın unu, kalitesini belirler. Kalitesiz unla yapılan tarhana, saklama koşullarına uygun olarak muhafaza edilse de bozulacak ya da hemen böceklenecektir.
- Tarhananın muhafazası genellikle cam kavanozda yapılmaktadır. Ancak plastik yahut cam kavanozlarda saklanan tarhanada böceklenme olasılığı artmaktadır. Bu nedenle bez torbalarda saklanması uygundur. Bu saklama yöntemi ile hem tarhana böceklenme riskine karşı korunmuş olur hem de aroması ve tadında bozulma ortaya çıkmaz.
- Bir yıl gibi uzun bir süre saklanacak olan kuru tarhana, mutlaka %100 pamuk bir bez torbaya konmalıdır. Bu tip bir torba hava akımı sağlayacak ve nemli bir ortamda dahi kalsa tarhanayı havadar ve kuru bir şekilde muhafaza edecektir. Bu yöntem aynı zamanda böceklenme ve küflenme için de uygun bir yöntemdir.
- Bez torba bulunmayan durumlarda kuru tarhana cam kavanozlarda da muhafaza edilebilir. Ancak birkaç günde bir kapağı açılmalı ve tarhanalar havalandırılmalıdır. Çünkü havasız kalan tarhana üzerinde bakteriler oluşmaya başlar ve tarhanalar çok kısa bir sürede bayatlar.
- Tarhana kesinlikle doğrudan güneş ışığına maruz bırakılmamalıdır. Aydınlık fakat gölgelik bir yerde havalandırma işlemi yapılabilir.
Böceklenen Tarhana Kullanılır mı?
Bakliyatların böceklenmesi, can sıkıcı ve uğraştırıcı bir durumdur. Bu duruma maruz kalmamak ya da maruz kalındığında sorunu ortadan kaldırmak için özellikle naylon poşet yerine cam kavanozlar ya da bez torbalar kullanılması son derece önemlidir.
Tarhana da zaman zaman böceklenebilen bir kuru bakliyat olarak ifade edilebilir. Böceklenen tarhana, böceklerden arındırıldıktan sonra elbette ki kullanılabilir. Tarhana böceklendiğinde içinde bulunduğu torbaya adaçayı ya da defne yaprağı koymak çözüm olabilir.
Bunun haricinde tarhanalar içinde bulunduğu torbadan çıkarıldıktan sonra, temiz bir bezin üzerine serilerek gün ışığında birkaç saat bekletilebilir. Böceklenme sorunu ortadan kalkana kadar bu işleme devam edilebilir. Ancak tarhana en fazla iki yıl muhafaza edilmelidir. Bu süreden sonra kalan kuru tarhanaların kullanılması sağlıklı değildir. Bu nedenle bekletilmesi de uygun değildir.
