Su İçmek Kilo Aldırır mı?

İnsan varlığının en önemli besin kaynağı olan su, yokluğunda çeşitli rahatsızlıklara ve hatta ölüme varana kadar ciddi problemlere sebep olabilmektedir. Vücut sıcaklığını dengeleyen su, eklemlerin sağlıklı çalışmasına katkı sağlar ve vücudun atık maddelerden arınmasını sağlar. Günde vücudun istediği yeterli miktarda su içmek çok önemlidir. Fazla ve az su tüketimi insan sağlığına zararlıdır. Ortalama insan vücudunun günlük su ihtiyacı 2 litre kadardır. Fakat bu sayı standart insana göre söylendiği için boya ve kiloya göre ihtiyaç değişebilir.

Ne kadar su tüketilmesi gerektiği idrar rengine bakarak anlaşılabilir. Rengin koyu olması vücudun su ihtiyacının karşılanmadığına işaret eder. Özellikle yatmadan ve kalktıktan sonra bir bardak su içmek çok önemlidir.

Fazla Su Tüketmenin Etkileri

  • Suyun gereken miktardan fazla tüketilmesi vücutta elektrolit kaybına sebep olur. Bu kayıp hücre içinde ve dışındaki sıvıların dengesini bozar ve sağlık sorunlarına neden olur. Fazla su tüketmek direkt olarak kilo alınmasına etki etmez fakat bazı hastalıkların yaşanmasına sebep olur.
  • Özellikle aşırı su tüketimi kan sulanmasına neden olur ve bu durum dolaşım sistemi, kalp ve damarlara yük bindirir. Böbreklerin gereğinden fazla çalışıp yorulması kişiyi kötü etkiler.
  • Bunun yanında fazla su tüketimi sonrasında suyun vücuttan dışarı atılamaması halinde ödem oluşur ve vücutta şişme meydana gelir. Bu yüzden fazla su tüketiminin kilo aldırdığı söylenir. Aslında olan şey kilo alımı değil, vücutta fazla su birikmesidir.
  • Şişmenin beyinde de olması baş ağrısı, tansiyon ve beyin kanaması gibi durumlara sebebiyet verir.
  • Özellikle kalp rahatsızlığı ve tansiyon hastalığı olan ve vücutta ödem birikmesi problemiyle sık sık karşılaşan kişilerin gereğinden fazla su tüketmemesi gerekir.

Su İçmemenin Zararları

Sıvı tüketimi insan metabolizması için önemlidir. Fakat su yerine daha farklı ve zararlı sıvıların tüketilmesi insan sağlığı açısından zararlıdır.(Örneğin, asitli içecekler, kahve ve çay) Bu yüzden gün içerisinde su dışında başka sıvıları fazla tüketen bireylerin su içmeyi de ihmal etmemesi gerekir. Su tüketiminin bir veya iki gün aksaması halinde vücutta değişiklikler meydana gelir. Kas spazmları ve mide bulantıları başlar. Bağırsak hareketlerinin durmasıyla kan akışında yavaşlama meydana gelir ve birkaç gün sonra beyin fonksiyonlarında durma yaşanır.

  • Sindirimde gıdaların parçalanmasına yardımcı olur. Kabızlık sorununun önüne geçer.
  • Enerji verir.
  • Tokluk hissi verir.
  • Metabolizmayı hızlandırır. Kalori yakmaya yardımcı olur.
