Vişne reçeli, hazırlık süresi oldukça meşakkatli olan bir reçeldir ancak tüketimi de en fazla sevilen reçellerden bir tanesidir. Reçelin tam kıvamında olması için kaynatma süresinin de büyük bir önemi bulunmaktadır.

Kapakları kaynatılan cam kavanozlar reçel konduktan sonra vakumlanır ve kış boyu tüketime hazır bir biçimde bekler.

- Vişne reçelinin kaynama süresi önemli bir ayrıntıdır. Ancak kaynama öncesindeki süreç de bir hayli önemlidir. İlk olarak vişneler bol suda bekletilmeli ve zirai ilaçlardan iyice arınmaları sağlanmalıdır. Ardından sap kısımları koparılır, çekirdekleri temizlenir. Son olarak vişneler kaynatılacağı tencereye alınır.
- Burada dikkat edilmesi gereken en önemli noktalardan bir tanesi, vişnelerin tencereye aşamalı olarak eklenmesidir. - İstenen kıvama ulaştıktan sonra soğumaya bırakılan reçel, önceden hazırlanan cam kavanozlara konur ve ağızları da sıkı bir şekilde kapatılır.
