Tarçın Nasıl Saklanır?
Tarçın anavatanı Güney ve Güneydoğu Asya olan çok yıllık bir ağaç türüdür. Tarçın mutfaklarda kullanmış olduğumuz baharat ile birlikte aynı zamanda bu baharatı elde etmiş olduğumuz ağacın da adıdır. Baharat olarak tarçın, tarçın ağacının kabuklarından elde edilmektedir. Bu şekilde elde edilmiş olan tarçın baharatı insan sağlığı açısından oldukça faydalıdır. Bu nedenle tarçın tüketimi beden sağlığı açısından dikkat edilmesi gereken bir konudur.
Tarçının kanın pıhtılaşmasını önleyici etkisi, bakteri ve mantar hastalıklarının yayılmasını önleyici, kan şekerini düşürme etkisi, yüksek kolesterolü düşürme etkisi ve hafızayı güçlendirici etkileri bulunmaktadır. Bunlar tarçının en genel özellikleri arasında yer alırken bunların yanı sıra tarçın kanserli hücre oluşumunu yavaşlatma, baş ağrısını rahatlatma ve doğal yağlar ile birlikte kullanıldığında da kas ağrılarına iyi gelerek rahatlama sağlanmasına neden olur. Bu nedenlerden dolayı tarçın tüketimi oldukça önemlidir.
Tarçın aynı zamanda kullanım alanı açısından da oldukça geniş bir yelpazeye sahiptir. Bu nedenle kullanımı da oldukça kolaydır. Gerek tatlılarda gerek yemeklerde gerek de içecek olarak tarçın tüketmek mümkündür. Ancak tarçının tazeliği her ne şekilde tüketirseniz tüketin en önemli konudur. Tarçın tazeliğini kaybettikçe etkilerini de kaybedeceği için doğru yöntemler ile saklanmalıdır. Tarçını doğru şekilde saklamak için uygulanabilecek birkaç yöntem bulunmaktadır.
Tarçın Saklama Yöntemleri
1-)Buzdolabı Poşeti ile Saklama
Tarçını buzdolabı poşetinde saklamak mümkündür. Ancak bunun için saklanma süresine dikkat etmek gerekir. Tarçın yıl boyunca saklanabilecek bir baharat olmasına karşın buzdolabı poşetinde yıl boyunca saklamak tarçının etkisinin azalmasına neden olacaktır. Ancak birkaç ay gibi kısa süreler tarçını saklamak istiyorsanız rahatlıkla buzdolabı poşetini tercih edebilirsiniz. Bunun için tarçın miktarınıza göre uygun büyüklükte bir buzdolabı poşetinin içerisine tarçınları koyarak buzdolabı poşetinin ağzını sıkıca kapatın.
2-)Kavanoz ile Saklama
Kavanoz ile tarçın saklama yöntemi en etkili yöntemdir. Bu şekilde tarçınları yıl boyunca rahatlıkla saklayabilirsiniz. Bunun için öncelikle tarçın miktarınızın çokluğuna göre uygun büyüklükte bir kavanoz ayarlayın. Daha sonra tarçınları kavanoza doldurarak ışık almayan kuru ve serin bir ortamda yıl boyunca muhafaza edebilirsiniz. Ancak baharatlar kapakları açıldıkça hava almış oldukları için daha çabuk bayatlayabilir. Bu nedenle çok fazla miktarlarda tarçın baharatına sahip iseniz küçük kavanozlara bölerek saklamanız tarçınların çok daha uzun süre taze kalmalarını sağlayacaktır.
NOT: Tarçın hem kabuk hem toz şeklinde kullanılabilen bir baharattır. Ancak saklama koşulları açısından bu ayrımın bir farkı yoktur. Tek dikkat edilmesi gereken nokta toz ve kabuk tarçınların aynı paket içinde saklanmaması gerektiğidir.
