Kan Fazlalığı
Kan fazlalığı; tıp literatüründe plerota veya poliemi terimleri ile ifade edilmektedir. Vücutta dolaşan kan miktarında anormal bir biçimde artış gözlenmesi, kan fazlalığı sonucunu doğurur. Kan naklinin fazla olması sonucunda nakil işleminin ardından kan fazlalığı durumuna rastlanabilmektedir. Bunun dışında normal şartlarda vücuttan atılması gereken kanın yani kanama olma fonksiyonunun gerçekleşmemesi halinde de meydana gelebilir.
Kan fazlalığı söz konusu olduğunda; beyaz kan hücreleri(akyuvar), kırmızı kan hücreleri(alyuvar) ve kanın sıvı bölümü olan plazmalar arasındaki oran değişmez. Yani kan fazlalığı durumunda ölçümlenen kan değerleri arasındaki oran normaldir, herhangi bir farklılık gözlenmez.
Kan Fazlalığı Neden Olur?
Kan fazlalığının en bilindik 2 nedeni;
- kan naklinin fazla olması(aşırı kan nakli)
- kan kaybının gerçekleşmemesi
Aşırı kan nakli, kan fazlalığının bilindik nedenlerinden biridir. Ayrıca normal şartlarda oluşması beklenen kan kaybının gerçekleşmemesi de kan fazlalığını tetikleyici etkenlerden biridir. Özellikle kadınlarda bu sebepten kan fazlalığına adet döngüsünden ötürü sık rastlanmaktadır. Adet döngüsünün gecikmesi veya kanamanın gerçekleşmemesi halinde kan kaybı gerçekleşemediğinden, kan fazlalığı meydana gelebilir. Bu 2 bilindik neden dışında, ampütasyon(fonksiyonunu gerçekleştiremeyen organın kesilmesi) da kan fazlalığına sebebiyet verebilmektedir. İşlevini gerçekleştiremeyen organın bir alet/materyal ile sıkılarak, bu bölgede kanın tüm vücuda doğru gönderilmesinden ötürü oluşabilir.
Kanın sıvı kısmı olan plazmanın böbrek kanalları vasıtasıyla dışarı atılması ve fazlaca bulunan akyuvar, alyuvar kan hücrelerinin karaciğer-dalak organları tarafından yok edilmesi pletora(kan fazlalığı) durumunu geçici kılmaktadır. Kan fazlalığı vücutta gerçekleşen bir takım işlevlerin ardından geçer, yani geçici kabul edilir.
