Emzirme Döneminde Propycil
Tiroid hormonunun fazla çalışması sonucu hipertiroid (zehirli guatr) denilen rahatsızlık meydana gelir. Bu rahatsızlığı olan hastalar en kısa zamanda bir uzmana başvurarak belirlenen uygun tedavi yöntemine göre doktor gözetiminde ilaç kullanmalıdırlar. Uzmanlara göre genellikle tedaviye propycil isimli ilaç ile başlanır. Her ilaçta olduğu gibi propycil kullanımında da dikkat edilmesi gereken önemli noktalar vardır. Bu hususta en çok dikkat edilmesi gereken noktalardan birisi de emzirme döneminde propycil kullanımıdır.
Uzmanlara göre, annelerin emzirme döneminde propycil kullanımında çok dikkatli olmaları gerekmektedir. Propycil’ in bu dönemde tavsiye edilen kullanımı, bebeği emzirdikten sonradır ve ilacı aldıktan sonra minimum 3-4 saat aradan geçmeden bebek tekrar emzirilmemelidir. Emzirme döneminde propycil kullanımı 150 mg ı geçmemesi tavsiye edilmektedir. Yine de bebekte farklı komplikeler oluşmaması açısından annelerin dikkatli olması ve en kısa zamanda bir doktora görünmeleri gerekmektedir. Çünkü, diğer antitiroid ilaçlar gibi az oranda da olsa propycil süte geçmektedir.
Propycil Hamileyken Kullanılır mı?
Tiroid rahatsızlıkları hamilelik öncesinde veya sonrasında başlayabileceği gibi hamilelik sırasında da başlayabilir. Hamilelikte tedavi amaçlı önerilen propycilin bebeğe olası etkileri diğer faktörler kadar olduğu belirtilmektedir. Ancak doktorunuzun takibinde propycil dozları bebeğe en az etki edecek şekilde belirlenmelidir. Ayrıca anne adayı TS4 ve TSH değerlerine her ay düzenli bir şekilde baktırmalıdır. Bilinçsiz kullanım bebekte de guatr oluşumuna sebebiyet verebilir. Bu yüzden, asla doktor tavsiyesi dışında dozlar belirlenmemelidir.

Doktor tarafından belirlenmiş dozlarda, hamilelik veya emzirme dönemi belirtilerek propycil aç mı tok mu alınacağına dikkat edilmelidir. Propycil kullanımı sırasında doktor kontrolüne devam edilmelidir.
