Doğum kontrol hapları kadınlarda birkaç sebeple kullanılmaktadır. En yaygın kullanım şekli aktif bir cinsel hayatı olan kadının hamile kalmasını önlemektir. Doğum kontrol hapları piyasada farklı markalar altında bulunmaktadır. Çoğunun farklı ismi olmasına rağmen etki mekanizması ve kullanımı aynıdır. En temel şekliyle iki tarz doğum kontrol hapı bulunmaktadır.
İlki bütün bir ay boyunca içilen tablettir. Burada dikkat edilmesi gereken hapların alındığı günlerdir. Her hapın altında günü yazmaktadır. Bu kullanımda adet dönemine gelen tabletler plasebo tabletlerdir.
İkinci kullanım ise adet döneminde ilacın bırakıldığı tablet formlarından oluşur. Burada dikkat edilmesi gereken adetin 4. veya 5. günü yeni bir flastere başlanılması gerekliliğidir.
Doğum Kontrol Hapı Regl Engeller mi?
Doğum kontrol hapları kişinin regl olmasını engellemez. Aksine regl döngüsü düzensiz olan kişiler çoğu zaman doğum kontrol hapı kullanmaktadır. Vücudun hormon dengesi haplar ile ayarlandığı için adet zamanlarında gecikmeler kesinlikle olmaz.
Herhangi bir gecikmede kişi almadığı bir hapın olup olmadığını ya da sırayı karıştırıp karıştırmadığını öğrenmelidir.
