Unun Böceklenmesi Nasıl Önlenir?
Çorbalarda, et sotelerde, ekmek yapımında, hamur işlerinde ve daha pek çok yemekte kullanılan un, mutfakların olmazsa olmazıdır. Posalı yapısı ile sindirim sistemine yardımcı olan un içeriğindeki B12 vitamini sayesinde uzun dönemde Alzheimer hastalığına yakalanma riskini azaltmaktadır. Doyuruculuğu ile tüketimi de fazla olan un, kontrolsüz tüketildiği hallerde en kolay kilo kazanımına sebep olan başlıca gıda maddelerinden de bir tanesidir.
Kültürümüz gereği geçmişten günümüze pek çok yemek tarifinde kullanılan un genellikle ihtiyaçtan fazla alınıp depolanmakta, zor zamanlarda en basitinden evde bir ekmek olsun düşüncesi ile de kullanıma hazır bir şekilde muhafaza edilmektedir.
Sık kullanım alanı yüzünden ihtiyaç fazlası alınıp depo edilen un, uygun şartlar sağlanmadığı zaman çevresel faktörler aracılığı ile kolaylıkla böceklenebilmekte ve depo edildiği yerde bulunan diğer besin maddelerinin de bozulmasına sebep olabilmektedir. Bu nedenle muhafaza şartlarına oldukça dikkat edilmesi gereken unun sağlık açısından faydalı etkilerinin kalkmaması ve temizliği adına bakımına özen gösterilmelidir.
Unun Böceklenmesi Nasıl Önlenir?
- Tazeliği ile doğru orantılı olarak muhafaza süresi de artan unu alırken son kullanma tarihinin uzun süreli olmasına dikkat edilmelidir. Yeni alınacak unun taze üretim olması tercih edilmelidir.
- Unu alırken kalite değerine güvendiğiniz marka ya da kurumlardan alışverişini yapınız. Şartlara göre uygun üretilmeyen unun bozulması ve böceklenmesi çok olası bir durumdur. Bu sebeple bilinen ve güvenilen yerleri tercih etmeye özen gösteriniz.
- Unu kullanırken una ait poşette ya da uygun bir kapta hava almayacak şekilde muhafaza etmeye özen göstermeli, kaba koyuyorsanız da unu iyice yerleştirerek muhafaza etmelisiniz.
- Muhafaza edildiği alanda çok uzun süre havasız kalan unun da böceklenme ihtimali artacağı için dönemsel olarak saklanan unlar arada bir çıkartılıp havalanması sağlanmalıdır.
- Unu muhafaza ederken serin, kuru ve güneş ışığından uzak bir ortam tercih edilmelidir. Nem, ısı ve güneş unda böceklenme yapacağı için çevresel faktörlere dikkat edilmelidir.
- Ununuzu kullanırken ihtiyacınız olan miktarı aldıktan sonra kapağını kapatınız, ununuzun çok fazla açıkta kalmamasına dikkat ediniz.
- Un muhafaza ettiğiniz kabınızda ununuz bittiğinde yenisini koymadan önce kullandığınız kabı iyice yıkayıp, su ve nem kalmayacak bir biçimde kuruttuktan sonra yeni ununuzu koyunuz.
- İhtiyaçtan fazlasını muhafaza ettiğiniz ununuzu sakladığınız kap, çuval ya da ambalajın içerisine birkaç tane defne yaprağı atabilirsiniz. Ununuzun böceklenmemesi adına alacak olduğunuz bu önlem sayesinde defne yaprağının kokusu nedeniyle böcekler ununuza yaklaşamayacaktır.
