Yeşil zeytin tüketmeyi çok seven kişilerin karşılaştığı sorunlardan birisi kararma sorunudur. Yeşil zeytin bir süre kullanıldıktan sonra kararma sorunu ile karşı karşıya kalabilmektedir. Yeşil zeytinin kararmasının başlıca sebebi yıkanırken hava ile çok fazla temasa maruz kalmasıdır. Bu kararmayı önleyebilmek için yeşil zeytini su içinde sürekli olarak bekletmek ve havayla çok fazla temas etmemesini sağlamak gereklidir.
2-)Zar Oluşum Sorunu
Yeşil zeytin üzerinde görülebilen sorunlardan birisi de zar oluşumudur. Zeytinin üzerinde bazı zamanlarda görülebilen zar genellikle beyaz renklidir ve içinde küf birikmiştir. Bu durum zeytinin ağzının açıkta bırakılması sonucu ortaya çıkan bir sorundur.
3-)Yumuşama Sorunu
Yeşil zeytin tüketimi yapan kişilerin sık sık karşılaştığı sorunlardan birisi ise zeytinin yumuşamasıdır. Bu gibi durumlarda zeytinin tüketimi oldukça zordur. Yeşil zeytinin yumuşamasının başlıca sebebi tuzunun az olması ya da fazlaca yıkanması sonucu oluşur. Bu nedenle yeşil zeytin tüketimi yapan kişilerin bu gibi konularda daha dikkatli olması gerekmektedir.
4-)Beyaz Leke Sorunu
Yeşil zeytin üzerinde görülen sorunlardan birisi de beyaz leke oluşumudur. Beyaz lekeler zeytin kabuğunun altında meydana gelen bir sorundur ve sıklıkla görülmez.
5-)Asit Kokması
Zeytinde görülen diğer bir sorun da asit kokmasıdır. Bu sorun zeytin üzerinde oluşan bakteriler sebebiyle ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu gibi durumlarda zeytinin atılması dahi gerekebilmektedir.
Yeşil Zeytin Nasıl Muhafaza Edilmeli?
Yeşil zeytini en iyi şekilde muhafaza edebilmek için kesinlikle ağzı kapaklı bir kasenin içinde saklamak, hava ile çok fazla temas etmemesini sağlamak ve gün ışığında bekletmemek gereklidir. Kahvaltı yapıldıktan sonra zeytin aynı kabı içinde, ağzı kapaklı olarak buzdolabı içinde saklanmalıdır.
